The red apple is, to me, a symbol of "Promise". This young boy and girl, lost in their private world despite the people walking by (who probably don't even notice them!) speaks volumes without uttering a word. They are a reminder of what is important ... a message that humanity could embrace. "With Love and a sense of Promise in our Hearts, we are inspired to live fully."
